Grateful for the inspiration and support of so many men linked to the Male Journey, and for the love
and encouragement of his family, Martin has assembled forty-four poems in this, his first, collection.

Here you will find poems about love and intimacy: about close family members, living and dead;
about conversing with the natural world and relishing its surprises; about seeking to be alert to the
present moment and the mysterious gifts it offers, like apples ripe for the picking. These are verses
of the soul reflecting both light and shadow.
