Man Sees the Mountain, Mountain Sees the Man

Join us in this first ever men’s retreat in the Italian Alps, at the foothills of the celebrated Dolomites.

An opportunity to pause, recharge and come into rhythm and kinship and with ourselves and wider nature. Together we will explore gentle techniques (inspired by Mindfulness, Focusing, Eco-psychology and Illuman) which invite us to come into relationship with ourselves and a wider sense-of-self. Here, there is a meeting of two: outside nature and her beings may mirror or share a likeness with our own inner life or inner nature.

We will spend time in circle, listening and sharing with other men in the spirit of “the way of council”.

There will be guided meditations, mindful walking and other nature-based activities, silent contemplation, solo and community time. Through simple ritual and ceremony, we will acquaint ourselves with the nature beings in the area and connect to the sense of place and belonging. 

We will offer a safe space where you will have an opportunity to be as active or as restful as you need at this time – hopefully striking a balance that meets your needs.

All activities and practices that are offered will be in the spirit of invitation, with no obligation: take what you need and leave the rest.

WHEN?

From Thursday 2nd October to Sunday 5th October 2025 (with the option of staying until Monday at a small extra cost).

You will also be required to send a deposit of 80€, which is refundable in case the event is cancelled. In all other cases, this deposit is not refundable.

COST

350€ (approx. 295 £) - sleeping in shared quarters

310€ (approx. 260 £) - camping

VENUE 🏠  

The event will take place at: Rifugio Dolada which is accessible by car (approx 1 hour and 15 minutes) from both TSF Treviso airport and VCE Venice Marco Polo Intl. airport. The nearest station, if you travel by train, is Stazione per l’Alpago, which is connected to the Venice line.

SLEEPING

Two options are available:

• Bunk bed in a shared room (up to 8 people) 

• Camping (bring your own tent and gear)

FOOD 🍎

Good, honest and locally resourced meals will be provided by the kitchen of Rifugio Dolada

Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are always available.
