About the event
Can you offer your time?
The Male Journey has always been shaped by the quiet, faithful contributions of men behind the scenes. These acts of service may not always be seen but they are deeply felt and are the reason we continue to be able to support men across the UK.
We're running an online drop in session on the 14th of August at 7:30pm to let you know how you can support our cause and help continue to grow and strengthen our community.
A number of key roles are opening up, opportunities to serve the life of this movement in meaningful, manageable ways.
Newsletter Editor – starting now
We’re seeking a new editor to help shape and send out this newsletter. You’ll be supported with training and templates, and you won’t be working alone - we have a small team supporting this offering including our Chair, Tim, and members of the Communications and Engagement Action Circle. If you enjoy crafting words and sharing stories, we’d love to hear from you. The time commitment of our current editor is about 6 hours per month.
Webmaster – urgent need
Our current webmaster steps down at the end of 2025, and we’re now actively looking for someone to step in. No prior experience is necessary — just curiosity, reliability, and a few hours each month. Training will be provided. Tasks may include:
Updating and editing website text
Creating and maintaining event pages
Uploading resources like videos, poems, or articles
Liaising with other TMJ volunteers
The time commitment for this role is variable but averages about 1-2 hours per week.
Other ways to serve
We’re also beginning to plan the next Rites of Passage in Scotland (22–26 July 2026), and we continue to grow the work of our Action Circles - the heartbeat of our evolving organisation. Whether you’re called to hold space, support planning, bring a specific skill, or just offer your time in any way you can there’s a place for you.
Interested?
If you’re curious about any of these roles, or just wondering how you might support TMJ, you’re warmly invited to this drop-in Zoom call or email tim@malejourney.org.uk! At the meeting, we’ll walk through what’s involved in these roles, share what’s emerging for the Rites and explore what skills would serve our Action Circles.
Please do consider joining us. Every offering matters.
